Terms of Service

What Vesper is
Vesper lets you turn a voice recording into a shareable card, and (optionally) share it with friends in the app or as an image outside it. You must be at least 18 years old to use Vesper. Features may change as Vesper is developed. These terms don't limit your statutory rights, including those under Turkey's Consumer Protection Law No. 6502.
Your content, your responsibility
You're responsible for what you record, upload, and send to others. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share, or anything that identifies someone else without their consent.
Not allowed
Vesper has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users; by using Vesper you agree not to post such content. Not allowed: harassment, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, obscenity, violence or threats, sharing someone else's personal data without permission, and any other abusive or illegal use of the app. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and the account is suspended or closed.
Reporting and blocking
You can block a user or report content directly from the app (see "Report" and "Block" wherever you see someone else's content). We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks the rules and eject the user who posted it.
Content moderation
Card titles, signatures, names and usernames pass through an automatic filter; text containing severe slurs or hate speech is not saved. Transcripts of voice recordings are scanned with the same filter and matches are reviewed by our moderation team. People without an account can also report content by emailing the card's code to our support address. We remove content that breaks these rules and suspend or close the account that shared it.
Ending your account
You can permanently delete your account at any time via Profile › Settings › Account & data › "Delete my account"; if you can't access the app, use vespercard.com/delete-account. Deleting your account doesn't cancel your store subscription. We may suspend or remove an account that violates these terms. If your account is suspended or removed for this reason, your store subscription doesn't end by itself; you can cancel it in the App Store or Google Play and send a refund request for the remaining period to the store.
Payments
Digital items (the Vesper+ subscription, seal credits and print files) are sold only through App Store or Google Play in-app purchase, under their terms; prices include VAT. We don't sell or ship physical products.
Vesper+ subscription
Vesper+ is a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription. The price, period and any free trial are shown on the purchase screen and in the store's confirmation sheet.
- Auto-renewal: unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, the subscription renews for the same period at the then-current price; the charge goes to your store account. If the renewal price goes up, the store (Apple or Google) tells you in advance and may ask for your consent under its own rules; if you don't accept the new price you can cancel before renewal. Exception: for Early Members (accounts opened before March 1, 2027) who move to the yearly plan before March 1, 2027, the yearly price isn't affected by later price changes as long as the subscription continues without a break (except mandatory price adjustments the store makes because of tax or exchange-rate changes); if the subscription ends and restarts, or you switch to another plan, the then-current price applies.
- Free trial: if a trial is offered and you don't cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the price of the plan you chose (a full year's price on the yearly plan) is charged when the trial ends and the subscription starts.
- Cancelling: cancel any time on iPhone in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, on Android in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions, or via "Manage" on the Vesper+ screen. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Deleting your account doesn't cancel the subscription.
- Right of withdrawal: Vesper+ is a service performed instantly in electronic form. On your first purchase, you expressly confirm on the purchase screen that you want the service to start right away and that you have no right of withdrawal once a paid period has started (this confirmation also covers your later purchases); so under Article 15(1)(ğ) and (h) of the Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation you have no right of withdrawal once a paid period has started. Cancel at least 24 hours before the free trial ends and you won't be charged.
- Refunds: Apple or Google takes the payment, so refund requests go to them under their rules (Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com; Google Play: your order history).
- What Vesper+ includes: recordings up to 3 minutes; no limit of three sealed cards waiting at once; seal dates up to 5 years ahead (at most 1 year on the standard membership); Theme from photo; the subscriber themes in Backdrop; the Vesper+ trace colours (Graphite, Night, Walnut); restoring a deleted card within 30 days (including cards you deleted before subscribing); on the yearly plan, 1 gift print file credit for each paid yearly period (not during a trial); for Early Members, a one-time 2 print file credits with the first paid subscription charge. Any extra benefits listed on the purchase screen at the time (e.g. AI backgrounds) apply within the limits stated there. Fair use: to prevent abuse, everyone, subscribers included, can seal at most 20 cards in 24 hours.
- Founding Member badge: a permanent, display-only badge for members whose Vesper+ subscription started before March 1, 2027 (00:00 Istanbul time) and was actually charged; free trials, promotions and test purchases don't count. It stays after the subscription ends and is removed if that first paid charge is refunded. It grants no extra rights; you can choose in Settings whether it shows on your profile. Early Members' rights are separate and stay exactly the same.
- When a subscription ends: your archive is never locked; your cards, sealed cards and friendships stay. Long cards you recorded while subscribed keep playing in full. Cards made with subscriber themes or Vesper+ trace colours stay as they are. New cards can't use those themes or Theme from photo, new recordings are limited to 30 seconds, new seals can be at most 1 year ahead (cards you already sealed keep their date), the three-at-a-time seal limit returns and deleted cards can't be restored.
Print files
- Print files are sold only to Vesper+ members; each is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The price is the one the store shows on the purchase screen.
- Each file is for a single card: front and back, a professional print PDF, a 10 × 15 photo, an A4 home print and phone images; the frame edition adds 13 × 18, A3 and a certificate page. No physical product is shipped.
- You, or the person you give it to, may have the file printed and framed for personal use; you may not sell, copy for distribution or distribute it. The card's content is yours; the Vesper design and logo belong to Vesper.
- Because the file is created and delivered right after purchase, you have no right of withdrawal under Article 15(1)(ğ) of the Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation; you confirm this explicitly on your first purchase, and that confirmation also covers your later purchases.
- Ask for refunds from the store you bought from (Apple or Google). A refunded file loses access: its files are deleted and the code on the printed card stops opening the voice.
- Even if your subscription ends, the files you bought stay in My prints and the printed card's code keeps opening the voice (the card's who-can-listen setting still applies). Unused credits don't expire when the subscription ends. If you delete the card or your account, its print files are deleted too and the code stops working.
- You can revoke the code in My prints one print at a time, or regenerate the files with a new code; revoking the card's other share codes doesn't affect print codes.
Seal credits
- On the free membership you can have at most 3 sealed cards waiting at once. Each seal credit lets you seal 1 more card while those 3 are taken; while you're on Vesper+ there is no such limit, so no credit is used.
- A seal credit is a one-time purchase, not a subscription; it's added to your account as soon as payment is taken. The price is the one the store shows on the purchase screen.
- Each credit is used for one seal; it doesn't come back when the sealed card opens.
- Because the credit is added to your account as soon as payment is approved (performance starts immediately), you have no right of withdrawal under Article 15(1)(ğ) of the Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation; you expressly confirm this on the purchase screen on your first purchase, and that confirmation also covers your later purchases. Ask for refunds from the store you bought from (Apple or Google).
- If you delete your account, your unused seal credits are deleted too and can't be restored.
