Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Vesper account and the data linked to it.

In the app (fastest)

In Vesper: Profile → Settings → Account & data → "Delete my account". You'll be asked to type "DELETE" to confirm; your account is deleted immediately and permanently.

If you can't access the app

Enter the email address linked to your account. If such an account exists, we'll send a confirmation link to that address. Your account is deleted when you open the link and confirm; this form alone doesn't delete anything.

If you hid your email when signing in with Apple, enter the @privaterelay.appleid.com address Apple created for you. If you run into trouble, write to destek@vespercard.com.

What is deleted

Your account and profile: email, username, display name, profile photo.
Your recordings, their transcripts and analysis.
Your cards, card images and the photos you added; your sealed cards.
Your friendships, cards and reactions you sent to friends, people you blocked.
Your push tokens and settings.

What is kept

Legacy print order records (if any) are kept as long as the law requires. Print files you bought are deleted with your account.
Report and moderation records are kept to fight abuse and as an audit trail; their link to your account is removed.
Purchase and subscription event records (your Vesper user ID, product, store transaction IDs, any cancellation reason and dates; no name or email address) are kept for refunds, disputes and contract claims for at most 10 years.
Usage statistics and error reports may remain in de-identified form.
A record of the deletion request (request and deletion dates, your user ID and the username you typed in this form) is kept to show the deletion happened: the username is deleted after 30 days and the record after 3 years; your email address isn't stored in it.
Records held by service providers (e.g. push, crash reporting) follow their own retention periods.

Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; cancel it in the store's subscription settings.

When

The confirmation link is valid for 24 hours and can be used once.
Your account is deleted the moment you confirm; this can't be undone.
If automatic deletion fails because of an error, your request goes to our team and is completed manually within 30 days at most.
Copies in database backups are removed by the backup cycle within 30 days at most.
